Doing the courageous work of becoming the best version of yourself through education and psychotherapy.

Life can be difficult and overwhelming at times. Sometimes we feel discouraged, hopeless, or stuck in the same thoughts and behaviors. I desire to meet you where you are and offer an environment where you can be truly known and accepted.  I believe that counseling is an important step towards healing and desired lasting change for the future.

Grace Roots Counseling offers Teletherapy and in-person counseling services for teenagers and adults.

Meet the Counselor

Grace Roots Counseling

Katie Khrestsov, MSW, LCSW

I am a wife, mother of four precious children, and owner of a golden retriever and fluffy cat.

I love Jesus, nature, travel, moving my body, reading, anything sweet and having fun. I believe every person is uniquely created and has inherent worth and dignity. Life is a gift and we are not meant to do it alone. We are made for connection! I am passionate about helping others on their journey to become their best. I consider it an honor to walk alongside you in this process.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my master’s degree in social work at Denver University in 2010. I work with teenagers and adults facing a variety of different issues.  I practice from a strengths-based approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a variety of other modalities. My counseling style is empathetic, genuine, and interactive. Together we will work from a place of empowerment, learning and discovery to strengthen some of the positive skills and resources you already have, while adding more tools that will equip you to pursue greater mental health. I approach mental health and wellness from both a clinical perspective and a whole person approach.

As a Christian, I love the opportunity to incorporate biblical principles and prayer into my work with anyone that wishes to include this. However, I respect each of my client’s personal beliefs and backgrounds and will honor your desire to leave this out if you do not want to include this.
